The Carnivore Diet is one of the most popular new diets. Advocates for the diet report a range of benefits from relieving autoimmune illnesses to optimizing overall health. The diet grew in popularity after Shawn Baker appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience back in 2017.
The diet restricts all vegetables, fruits, sugars, soy products, corn products, vegetable oil, MSG additives, most dairy products, and preservatives. At its core - you can simply eat meat.
The Carnivore Diet is a restrictive, all-meat diet. In general, you'll also want to avoid any snacks that contain:
- Any sort of flour/wheat
- Added sugar
- Soy or soy additives
- Vegetable, canola, peanut, and any other vegetable oil
The following Carnivore Diet snacks have none of the following:
- No sugar
- No soy sauce or soy additives
- No wheat or gluten
- No vegetable, canola, peanut, or vegetable oil
Most advocates of the Carnivore Diet encourage intuitive eating. That means eat when you're hungry. The Carnivore MD, Dr. Paul Saladino, recommends "people let satiety be their guide."

Our Machaca consists of thick cuts of 100% American beef. The beef is seasoned with sea salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika before being slow-cooked for a minimum of five hours. Once dried, the thick-cut jerky is shredded to a fine & airy consistency.
Machaca is our go-to when we are craving but not necessarily hungry. Just take a pinch and shove it in your lip like dip. Hence, jerky chew!

5. Wild Planet Sardines
Sardines are a great way to switch up your snacking routine while following this animal-based diet. These little sardines pack a nutritious punch as they're filled with omega 3's, protein, calcium, and iron.
Just be sure to grab the sardines packed in water as they are the most carnivore friendly product. The ingredient list is simply sardines, water, and sea salt...gotta love that!
6. Roti Roti - Beef Bone Broth
You might not consider bone broth a snack right now, but you will once you're on the Carnivore Diet! Roti Roti makes an excellent Beef Bone Broth for snacking on the Carnivore Diet. The bone broth features a clean ingredient list composed of just water, beef, and carrots.

So...cheese can be a little controversial on this diet. Typically though, hard cheeses like parmesan are allowed since the carbohydrates are at a minimal level. So we thought, why not add these Parm Crisps to the list!
They're another excellent replacement for potato chips. Packed with protein and made from just aged parmesan cheese, which contains just cultured milk, salt, and enzymes. There is zero sugar in these crisps.

Think of chicharrones, but made from fish skin. What do you get? Good Fish Crispy Sea Salt Salmon Skins! It might be a tough sell to some people, but these skins are simplicity at its best.
