Our review process starts with our passion for finding the best of everything. What usually begins with simple curiosity ends with exhaustive research, rigorous testing, and thoughtful recommendations.
The writing process begins with a deep dive into the subject. We learn as much as possible through a comprehensive review of public information from trusted authorities. Lastly, we conduct our own in-person testing, making sure that the products we recommend meet our high standards and will stand the test of time.
Rigorous product testing happens at our 1,000 square foot Test Kitchen in our Downtown Los Angeles Beef Jerky factory. Recipe development, product testing, and panels of taste testers are an important piece of our writing process.
For example, we hosted a mushroom jerky tasting to find the best options on the market. We narrowed down a list of 25 mushroom jerky brands to the 7 Best Mushroom Jerky Brands. Let’s just say, testing that many mushrooms didn’t leave mush room for error.
This process might seem a bit over-the-top, but for our team, it’s pure fun.
