Whether you're following a ketogenic diet or are trying to cut down on the carbs in general, these drinks will satisfy those cocktail cravings without raising your glucose levels.

1. Skinny Keto Margarita
First up on our list is a crowd favorite: the margarita. This recipe is a delicious spin on the classic margarita that's packed with flavor but isn't loaded with the sugar and carbs. The balance between fresh citrus and subtle smoothness of tequila makes for a refreshing cocktail. Garnished with a strip of our keto-friendly Hatch Green Chile beef jerky, this drink will make every tequila lover happy.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 tsp Lakanto Classic Monkfruit Sweetener
- Lime flavored sparkling water
- 1 strip Hatch Green Chile Jerky
- Salt or Tajín for the rim
- Optional: edible flowers or jalapeños
Instructions:
Fill a small cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, sweetener, and jalapeño slices (depending on your spice level). Tightly close and shake vigorously. Strain into a rimmed glass filled with ice and top off with the sparkling water. Garnish with lime wedges, additional jalapeño slices, and jerky strip. Edible flowers optional. Enjoy!
2. Keto Paloma Cocktail
Similar to the margarita, the paloma is a thirst quenching tequila cocktail that's light, fruity and has a nice fizz. Instead of loading this drink up with sugary simple syrup, we've replaced it with fresh grapefruit juice and grapefruit flavored soda water.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- Grapefruit flavored sparkling water
- 1/4 tsp grapefruit zest for extra pow
- Optional: fresh mint or basil as garnish
Instructions:
Fill a small cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, and zest. Tightly close and shake vigorously. Strain into a glass filled with ice and top off with the sparkling water. Garnish with grapefruit slices and fresh mint or basil. Enjoy!
3. Keto Bloody Maria
We all love a good hair of the dog when it comes to dealing with hangovers. This twist on a Bloody Mary is hearty and delicious and will kick those hangovers. For those who aren't familiar with the Bloody Maria - it's simply a Bloody Mary made with tequila instead of vodka. It's tangy, meaty, and delivers a nice horseradish bite that will keep you coming back for more. And to top it off, we garnished it with a strip of our keto-friendly Old Fashioned Original.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz unsweetened tomato vegetable juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp horseradish
- 1/4 tsp smoked hot sauce
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 strip Old Fashioned Beef Jerky
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with celery, jerky, lemon wedges, and/or cooked bacon as preferred. Enjoy!
4. Keto Tequila Mojjito
Traditional Mojitos are full of sugar and extremely sweet, however, we came up with our low-carb Mojito that is completely keto-friendly and made with a keto sweetener. Rest assured this Mojito will not disappoint on the fresh mint. Part of the magic that makes this cocktail is the fresh mint leaves which you'll muddle in the bottom of the cocktail shaker. It's fresh, simple, and best of all - keto-friendly!
Ingredients:
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 2 oz club soda
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tbsp Lakanto Classic Monkfruit Sweetener
Instructions:
Fill a small cocktail shaker with mint leaves and muddle to enhance the mint flavor. Add the tequila, lime juice, sweetener and ice. Shake well. Poor into a glass with ice. Top off with club soda, fresh mint, and a lime wedge. Enjoy!
5. Keto Tequila Sunrise
From the looks of this cocktail alone, it looks like a party in a glass! And that's exactly what it is. This tequila sunrise is packed with orange flavor, sweetness, and made with keto-friendly sweeteners. It's the perfect summer cocktail to enjoy at a party or really any time of the year you feel like having fun!
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila (unflavored)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2/3 cup 0-calorie, 0-sugar orange-flavored juice
- 4-5 drops of cherry or fruit punch flavored water drops
- 2-3 drops liquid stevia (or other liquid sweeteners that are keto-friendly)
Instructions:
Fill a a glass with ice. Combine water, water flavor drops, 1 oz tequila, and lime juice in a glass. Separately combine the other ingredients in another glass. Pour red mixture into the ice filled glass. Pour the orange juice mixture over the top. If desired, garnish with orange wedge or cherry. Enjoy!
