Hands down one of our favorite things to do is spend time in the kitchen experimenting with ingredients, recipes, and of course beef jerky. One of our friends and fellow foodies in Chicago shared one of his recipes featuring People's Choice Machaca so we wanted to share with you!

This low-carb, Whole 30 compliant recipe is nutritious and delicious and packs a ton of protein, which will keep you fuller longer. The best part is that you can ditch the carbs by creating your own zucchini noodles. Not to mention it's fun to make and satisfying to eat.

Stir Fry
1 tablespoons ghee or coconut oil
1 package of People's Choice Machaca
4  large zucchinis spiralized
1 small yellow onion diced
2  teaspoons garlic crushed
1 cup Thai basil chopped
1 Thai chili minced
sea salt and black pepper to taste
Sauce (Prepare ahead of time)
1/4 cup coconut aminos
1 Thai chili optional
1 tablespoons fish sauce
1/2 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes optional
1/2 teaspoon ginger minced
1/2 lime juiced
A few scrapes of lime zested

  1. Spiralize the zucchini first. Add the spiralized zucchini to a large colander in a large bowl. Add a few dashes of kosher salt and massage the zucchini to release excess moisture. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse the zucchini well with cold water and let it drain for another 10-15 minutes. Pat it as dry and set aside.
  2. In a large frying pan, melt the ghee and coat pan. Once the pan is at medium high heat, add 1 package of People Choice Machaca Beef Chew
  3. Add another tablespoon of ghee to the frying pan and toss in the bell peppers and onion. Let it cook for about 2 minutes until tender. Add the crushed garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add basil, chilies and reduce heat to medium-low stir frequently.
  4. Add the sauce to the pan and turn the heat to medium. Once the mixture begins to simmer, turn the heat to medium-low and add the spiralized zucchini. Let this all cook for another approximately 5 minutes until the zucchini noodles have reached your desired level of tenderness.
  5. Serve with fresh squeezed lime, tomatoes arugula and Thai basil as garnish.
